The Soil Association newly launched standards include a criteria to maintain HCVs

The Soil Association, who is also a HCV network member has recently launched their organic standards. These standards cover a range of productive activities, and specifically the working group, which includes Olivia Scholtz from the HCV secretariat, has included a criteria to maintain HCVs (2.1.7) in their Farming and Growing standard. More importantly, they have worked hard to ensure that the standards are implementable and have a positive impact. The complete updated standards are now live on their website, and have been implemented since May 7.

Olivia will also participate as a volunteer on the first meeting of the new Task and Finish group on Deforestation and palm oil, which will be held soon.

On behalf of the HCV Secretariat, we would like to congratulate the Soil Association for their endeavours and commitment in making important progress on this complicated topics.
