2016 Management Committee meeting

In June 2016, the Management Committee met to discuss next strategy for the next years.

During a two-day meeting in Oxford, the HCV Network (HCVN) Management Committee (MC) discussed priority actions for the rest of their mandate, which will end in December this year, when elections for a new Management Committee will take place.Some of the topics discussed during the meeting were:

  • The recent commitment to collaborate more with the High Carbon Stock Approach Steering Group;
  • HCV Assessor Licensing Scheme progress to date, challenges and improvements needed;
  • Our work with sustainability standard schemes like Better Cotton Initiative, the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), among others;
  • Next steps towards electing a new Management Committee at the end of this year, when HCVN Members will have the opportunity to elect a new Management Committee.

The current MC is composed of six organizations plus one Proforest representative. However, Proforest will soon transition to become a Member of the HCVN.
