Consultation: HCV-HCSA Assessment Manual update

The HCVN is conducting a 15-day public consultation to gather input from interested stakeholders.

In 2017, the HCV Network, in collaboration with the High Carbon Stock Approach (HCSA) Steering Group, developed the first HCV-HCSA Assessment Manual. A little over five years later, it is time to take stock of our experience and other complementary documents and processes and to update the Manual.

The intention of the update is to correct errors in the 2017 Manual, update information based on documents that have been published since November 2017 and clarify what information must be presented in the assessment report to “pass” HCV Network's quality assurance with a satisfactory marking. The Manual update is being led by the HCV Network Secretariat, in collaboration with the HCSA Secretariat. Decisions on content will rest with HCSA and HCVN.

The HCVN is conducting a 3-week public consultation to gather input from interested stakeholders. Feel free to share this information with colleagues or other relevant stakeholders.

Consultation details:

  • Download the draft manual, a summary of proposed changes
  • To submit feedback, please use this feedback form and send it to jimena@hcvnetwork.org
  • The consultation will run from February 22 to March 16, 2023. After consultation, the Manual will be designed and translated into several languages.
  • When reading this document, please remember that this is a technical manual for Licensed Assessors leading HCV-HCS assessments.
