HCV-HCS Workshop for Guatemalan Oil Palm Growers

The HCV Network Secretariat gave a presentation on HCV-HCSA assessments to Guatemalan oil palm growers and other stakeholders.

On October 24th, 2018, Paulina Villalpando from the HCV Network Secretariat was invited by the RSPO Latin America office, Cargill and Grepalma (the Guatemalan national oil palm federation) to give a presentation on HCV-HCSA assessments to Guatemalan oil palm growers and other stakeholders. The objective of the presentation was to introduce the High Conservation Value and High Carbon Stock approaches in the context of the upcoming RSPO Principles and Criteria. During the presentation, participants were also briefed on the ongoing collaboration between the HCSA and HCVRN governance bodies, which started back in 2013.The HCV Network would like to thank Cargill for supporting Paulina's participation in this workshop.
