On April 29th, Ellen Watson, Anders Lindhe and Paulina Villalpando from the HCV Network Secretariat met with Kim Carstensen, Pasi Miettinen and many others from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) team in Bonn to catch up on projects and priorities. FSC and HCVRN have a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which lasts until 2020.

The High Conservation Value (HCV) approach was developed in the Forest Stewardship Council in 1999. Since then, the HCV approach has been adopted by agricultural certification schemes. This has required the HCV approach to evolve and adapt to other uses.

Important topics such as collaboration in disputes related to HCV, training needs and specific projects such as HCV application in large landscapes and jurisdictions were discussed.
